A B O U T

Miles D. Blunt (“Miles dB Sound”) is a Production Sound Mixer in the Washington DC/ VA/ MD area. He has recorded sound for numerous independent films, documentaries, corporate videos, TV shows, commercials and political campaigns. Capturing excellent sound while preserving original performances is his top priority. Proper planning, utilizing the right tools, and collaboration with the entire crew helps to achieve that goal. Miles brings a friendly team-player attitude to every project, making him an invaluable addition to any production. 

Miles discovered his passion for sound at age 16, recording demos of his original band Fight Cloud. Furthermore, he is a James Madison University (JMU) graduate with a BM in Music Industry (Class of 2014). Post-graduation, Miles was a full-time Sound Engineer for video production at BES Studios in Richmond, VA. 

In 2019, he became a Freelance Production Sound Mixer and moved to Austin, TX, embedding himself in the vibrant film scene there. Notable film credits include “Home Free”, “Lousy Carter”, “Moonrise” and “The One You’re With”.  He recorded an interview with Elon Musk and the president of TED talks, commemorating the opening of the Tesla Giga Factory. Miles has also worked on commercial campaigns for Capital One, State Farm, Toyota, Dell, Dos Equis, Liquid Death Water, and VA Lottery. 

Miles returned to VA in 2022 to raise his family. He is centrally located in Fairfax, VA with his wife and two young children.
